Microwave Batch Processing

Batch processing microwave systems are best suited for small volume food processing applications. We recommend a batch processor oven system for tempering applications with hourly throughput rates of less than 2,000 lbs. (907 kg) of product per hour. With batch microwave systems, there is no minimum loading requirement. The footprint of a batch oven is smaller than that of a continuous tunnel system. If your application involves an assortment of products and low throughput levels, a batch microwave system is the best fit for your facility.

Small Batch Processing – MIP 4

Benefits of Batch Process Tempering

Batch processing is beneficial in tempering applications, especially where product is portion-controlled or production is small-scale. Our batch systems work best for those who have limited space, and need to temper modest amounts of food quickly. With our MIP 4 or MIP 10, tempering is essentially on demand. Our MIP 4 is especially popular on cruise ship galleys, as it supports around-the-clock food processing and permits continuous product flow.

  • Chiles
  • Chicken Batch Processing

When tempering with a batch processor microwave oven, you can expect the following outcomes:

  • More production space
  • Temper on demand for better service
  • Less product handling, decrease margin of error between sequences
  • An improved, more safe and clean production environment
  • Improved product quality – more flavor, more protein
  • Less risk of airborne contaminants reaching food
  • Simplify compliance with safety and health regulations
